Nyandah Robinson, ACCA
Founder & CEO
Nyandah Robinson the chief executive officer of the Harvesters, has made it her life’s mission to see the people of her community succeed and to create a legacy for future generations.
After migrating with her children to Bloomfield Connecticut in September 2008, Nyandah was determined to achieve a better life.
In May 2010, Nyandah, a single mother, took on the challenge of owning a home in Upper Albany, a volatile community on the North-end of Hartford, although she was discouraged by many. Nyandah has the passion, persistence, creativity and unbridled will-power it takes to live and survive in an unstable community, gravely underserved.
Nyandah is captivated by people’s resilience, fortitude for growth and sees the potential in Hartford’s North-end, to thrive.
She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the world’s leading body of professional accountants and has over sixteen years of experience in the fields of accounting and finance having worked in the banking, service, construction and manufacturing sectors.
In Jamaica, she spent most of her years at International Trust & Merchant Bank and MF&G Trust & Finance. She has held roles of Teller, Investment Officer, FX Trader and Chief Accountant.
The past seven years she has spent at Stanley Access Technologies a division of Stanley Black & Decker having held multiple roles. These roles included Credit Analyst, Commercial Finance Analyst and Financial Planning Analyst. She has been recognised as an outstanding performing employee and was given the opportunity to assist the Internal Audit Department with conducting a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) audit at the Tools Division in United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
Nyandah serves on the board of Christian Activities Council and has been described as “a leader in her community” in their 2014 Annual Report. She is also actively involved with the Upper Albany Neighborhood Revitilization Zone (UANRZ) Organization.
